30-01-2005 Ryszard Pogorzelski passed away

We used to call HIM simply Rysiu. Sometimes, when joking, I called HIM Schwarzenegger because he seemed indestructible. HE was friendly to all of us, to all of us HE was emitting the calmness, which HE was very seldom loosing. HE was liked by the young and loved by the “old” co-workers. HIS nature, quality of work, relations with other people and other important human qualities could be described with one modest adjective, HE was simply good. During the last weeks I was thinking of HIM continuously, knowingly and unconsciously. I knew HE was in a very bad condition. In the end of January I was not able to stay in Poznan and so I read each new received SMS with fear, that one of them would bring the worst news. The worst happened on the 30th of January. Almost at the same moment I received some SMS of a similar content: "Rysiu died", "Rysiu died this afternoon", "it happened". Nobody had the courage to call, to avoid talking about the pain after passing away of the good MAN and the close FRIEND.

28-01-2005 "ELASTIC foams" – the new generation of ironing pads

It’s used to think about the ironing pads and covers exchange always in the last moment, when ironing on old worn pads is already impossible. Pads, especially the goods ones, silicone or siliconed foams, were relatively expensive so far. That was the main reason of delaying decision concerning their exchange, what next had an disadvantageous impact on the quality and effectiveness of ironing in many companies. We realized this and for a long time already we were working on possibility of decreasing prices. We've been lucky. From today we introduce into sale the new ironing pads family, called "ELASTIC foams".

27-01-2005 BIG 5, PFAFF Kick-Off-Meeting

During January 27 - 28, 2004 PFAFF company organized a training meeting for best European distributors. The main trainings subject was the new PFAFF machines generation, which is going to be brought into the World markets this year. The BIG 5 means 5 machine groups: PFAFF 1122 two needle machines, PFAFF 1114 electronic zigzag machine, PFAFF 3371-1/01 electronic bar tacking machine and PFAFF 3371-10/01 button sewing machine, 5700 series overlock machines, 1163 series lockstitch machines.

26-01-2005 Strima in the Business Gazelles Club

At the turn of the year 2004 and 2005, for the fifth time already, the "Puls Biznesu" ranking, called "Business Gazelles 2004", was announced. The idea of the ranking, which is the common project of 9 economic daily newspapers, is promotion of dynamically developing small and middle Polish companies. The amount of companies, qualified for the breakdown, grows year by year regularly. This is also a proof that Polish economic revival, step by step, becomes the fact.
For Strima company the this year’s edition is exceptionally important as we are between 2003 companies of the biggest development dynamics.

13-01-2005 X Gala Show

Strong Polish fashion brands are in the common interest of all of us. That’s why we support young designers. This motto shines our long-term cooperation with clothing schools and fashion promoters. Gala — created by Mrs. professor Barbara Hanuszkiewicz — is an event full of fashion spirit, waking up emotions of participants, observers and jealous people for last ten years. This event is necessary, first of all for young fashion designers, clothes design schools graduates. Last Thursday its next, 10. edition took place. Young designers, licensed last year, presented 18 collections. The Gala jubilee was an occasion to invite previous editions laureates, already working on their own. They presented 15 collections.
