04-04-2011 - 5. Prague Meetings patchwork - report
On April 1st-3th, 2011 the 5th edition of Prague Patchwork Meeting - an international patchwork exhibition - was held in Prague. Strima Czech, s.r.o. was the General partner of the exhibition and lent 20 pcs of JANOME MEMORY CRAFT 6600 PROFESSIONAL machines for the courses purposes - which were lectured by the famous foreign lecturers: Charlotte Yde and Alicia Merrett.
Waka Yasuoka from Janome Sewing Machine Co. Ltd., was our special guest and, like us, was delighted with patchwork art.
The whole exhibition passed in a friendly and creative atmosphere. Jana Harmachova shared her experience for the patches and infected her passion even the youngest guests. Visitors with pleasure sewn of presented machines. Great interest aroused also accessoires for patchwork and quiliting.
During the fair we presented our new line of TEXI machines and equipment dedicated to sewing atelier.
For the most beautiful patchwork of our Scrap Quilt Contest, the visitors found the work of Milada Florusova, second place went to Dagmara Votoupalová, and the third to Ivana Chovancová. For the contest 58 works has been reported, and there were more than 220 votes. Winners received JANOME QXL605, JANOME DXL603 and JANOME XL601 machines. Congratulations!
It was a colorful time , full of exciting events and new experiences for us and our guests.
